
After heart disease and cancer, in UK stroke is the 3rd most common cause of death. Per year 150,000 people have a stroke, out of which 53,000 die every year. Stroke is not only the individuals problem but also the economy's. In England alone £8 billion is spent on strokes.
Because of stroke, 450,000 people get severely disabled. So what can we do to rectify this. We just have to go by one thing "prevention is better than cure". To reduce the risk of getting affected by strokes, people should do some changes in their lifestyles. Like eating healthy, quitting smoking, reducing the intake of salt and exercising to lose weight.
