Be it July 4th or Olympic games, celebrations are never complete without huge firework displays.

What goes into the making of these brilliant fireworks? Lets taker a look. Huge impact fireworks meant for the biggest displays are about 12 inches wide. The main chemical ingredients are placed in concentric sections and encased in a strong plastic shell.

The main chemical ingredient for a firework is present in the inner most core. Color producing chemicals are filled in the outer shells . Yellow stars are created from use of sodium salts, white with magnesium orange with iron, red with strontium nitrate, green with barium nitrate and blue with copper salts.
