The entire bandwidth that colleges and universities have is completely devoured with large number of students carrying wide number of internet accessing devices like tablets, smartphones, e-readers and video systems to the campus.
Of the total colleges, nearly 30.7% of colleges maintain a bandwidth that lies between 100 to 500 Mbps and only 7% campuses have a network bandwidth of greater than 2 Gbps. Among the different bandwidth consumers, over 899.5% of them are tablet users and the smartphone users are next top consumers with an overall percentage of 85.6%.
