Obesity has become a common problem in the population. It has contaminated children too. 1/3 of the American population is between 6 to 19 and majority of them are obese than their ideal weight.

Children aged 8 to 18 years of age consume 3,400 milligrams of sodium per day which is  twice the recommended amount. This causes high blood pressure in adolescents.

More than 80% of the adolescents aged between 12 and 18 years, do not eat  the recommended five/four servings of fruits or vegetables each day.

Artificial flavored dyes used in foods and drinks increases hyperactivity in children leaving them susceptible to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other behavioral issues.

For children’s and adults who consume more than a quarter of their calories from added sugars, about 60% of added sugars come from regular soft drinks and fruit ades.

Elementary school students receive an average of 3.4 hours of food nutrition every year  which is the main cause for obesity in children.
