On 24th of April, 1973, the God of Cricket, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born. In the year 1987 during the World Cup match he was a ball boy and then on 25th of February, 1988 he made a record breaking partnership of 664 with Vinod Kambli where Sachin scored 326 runs.
Sachin made his first test hundred in the year 1990 against England where he scored 119 runs and he has captained 73 ODI and 25 test matches. In April 1992, Sachin was the First Indian player to sign a contract with the Yorkshire club.
Sachin came in as on opener for the first time on 27th of March, 1994 in ODI against New Zealand and then he got his first ODI century against Sri Lanka on 9th September, 1994.
In the list of hid cricketing records he holds 100 centuries and 162 half centuries with an average of 54.32. His test match record is of 194 tests with a total of 15,645 runs with highest being 248 run not out. He has played 463 ODIs where he has scored total runs of 18,426 with the highest of 200 not out.
On March 31st 2001, Sachin reached the score of 10,000 runs in ODI and on 24th of February, 2010 he became the first player in the cricket history to score 200 runs in ODI.
The 23rd day of December, 2012 came as a day of grief for many cricket fans as the God of Cricket, little master Tendulkar decaled his retirement from ODI format after playing for 23 long years.
