6% of adults in the United States have reported facing health consequences due to stress within the previous month. This information, sourced from the American Psychological Association, is hardly surprising given the numerous stress-inducing factors persistently afflicting the nation, such as escalating rent prices, unemployment, inflation, and the ongoing prevalence of poverty. In light of this, the team at Charlotte's Web recently conducted an analysis to determine whether certain cities in the United States exhibited higher levels of stress compared to others. They have compiled a new infographic presenting the most and least stressed cities across America. In this study, the team evaluated the 100 most populous cities in the United States based on eight distinct stress-inducing factors. These factors encompassed elements such as residing in high-crime areas, stress associated with health, work-related stress, and financial stress, among others. According to the research conducted by Charlotte's Web, the ten cities with the highest stress levels in the United States were Detroit, MI; New York, NY; Memphis, TN; Newark, NJ; Houston, TX; Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Dallas, TX; New Orleans, LA; and Cleveland, OH.
