The world has seen solar energy continue to gain popularity in recent years, and today, many areas are even trying to encourage their residents to install solar panels. With the popularity and installations of solar energy continuing to rise, the revenue totals of the top solar energy companies around the world are seeing big increases as well. This new infographic from the research team at Solar Power Guide ranks the world's top solar energy companies by revenue. More specifically, the top solar companies included in their research are those solar energy companies that are publicly traded in either the United States or Canada. Per the research, it was found that five solar energy companies saw revenues of more than $1,600,000 – JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. ($4.6 billion), Canadian Solar Inc. ($3.2 billion), First Solar Inc. ($3.1 billion), GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. ($2.8 billion) and SunPower Corp. ($1.9 billion). The top ranked company, JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd., has been publicly traded since 2010.
