World’s Fastest Supercomputers with High Data Processing Speed

Every second, some tons of Geopbytes of data is generated by federal agencies and thus entire data must be stored and evaluated to drive innovations and meet the mission objectives. The rate at which the technology gets advanced or expands is unbelievable and several new supercomputers are emerging out every year to store the large amount of content generated by private or public agencies.

In today’s life, computer has become the most essential tool, but with the inception of supercomputer even the most advanced desktop computer types have become mere obsolete. The supercomputer that comes in conjunction with 1000’s of processors will store limitless amount of data in a quick speed and at an astounding speed.

Several big data projects that are carried out on the globe make use of these mammoth data centers to retrieve and store information in an efficient way.  The fastest supercomputers on the globe and their locations are clearly depicted in the above infographic.

Today, the world’s fastest super computer by the name Tianhe - 2 is located in Guangzhou, China. It can store data at a speed of 33.86 petaflops per second. It was unveiled in the year 2013 to help out the researchers in South China.

Titan is America’s fastest super computer with a storage speed of 17.59 petaflops/second stands 1st when compared to IBM Seqouia, Mira, Stampede and Vulcan data centers that are located at different locations in America.
