Super Bowl XLVIII will be the 48th edition of Super Bowl and 44th annual championship game of the modern era NFL.

It is scheduled to be held on February 2nd, 2014 at Met Life stadium at the Meadow Lands Sports Complex in east Rutherford, New Jersey to determine the champion for the 2013 season.

This is going to have a huge impact on both the advertising and American economy. Fox has been charging $4 million for a 30 seconds advertisement while organizers are expecting that NFL would generate $550 million approximately this year.

Although there will be no direct benefit for the local teams Giants and Jets yet Super Bowl will help them in selling their name rights to the stadium. This could well be worth an estimated amount of $500 million. The giants and jets will then split 6.2% of overall ticket allotment while the home town only gets a 5% income.

Both the NY and NJ tourism departments are expecting a huge crowd of tourists  that would in turn help in the recovery of areas from the Hurricane Sandy with the earnings made from this game.
