
The next generation of women in work force, also called as Millennials will make a large impact on the corporate ladder.
Those coming under this group are born between late 1970s up to 1990s. They are equipped with good communication skills, media and technology exposure. About 30% of the US gen y women professionals are present on social networks and connected to many others in their profession.
More than half of them have positive outlook of women and consider women as role models int heir work place. They believe that they are equals at workplace. However, they are less likely to speak up for themselves as compared to their male coworkers.
Nearly a third of them believe that their careers are stagnant and they lack further opportunities. Work life balance is their top priority as are compensation and benefits and flexible work hours.
