Below the earth’s surface, where our imaginations don’t even run is a world of caves, mountains, rivers and lakes. This underground world is home to many precious gemstones and other metals which are accessible to only the nature.
Most of these lakes and rivers which exist in the underground world are very beautiful and magnificent. The reason for their brilliance is the fact that they have been untouched by humans and have thus restored their natural beauty and significance. Some of the water bodies are just too incredible and deserve a mention.
Reed flute Cave in Guilin, China is the most incredible underground water body in the world and has a length of 240 meters. It was discovered in 720 AD and has 3 entrances. Another underground lake which is considered very beautiful is the Hamilton Pool Preserve which is located in Texas, USA and is 232 acres in area.
The Cheddar Gorge in Somerset, England is yet another underground lake which is 137 meters in length and is one of the most incredible ones. Some other very magnificent and beautiful underground lakes and rivers in the world are Luray Caverns, Wookey Hole caves, Melissani cave, Macan Che, cavern lake Mexico and underwater cave in Canada.
