Commercial learner's permit(CLP)
This permit allows you to drive commercial vehicles on road with a valid CDL holder next to you.
But to get a CLP following criteria must be satisfied:
➢ Verification of your driving record of last 10 years in all 50 states and in the district of Columbia.
➢ A valid medical test proof.
The different skill tests are:
➔ Vehicle inspection test
➔ Basic controls test

Once the skill tests are passed you are issued a CDL. But there is an exemption for the skill tests in case if you are a former military servant.
