Even with three-fourths of the earth being covered with water, humans have been known to grown enough food for everyone on this planet. Worldwide it has been found that 27% more food is being produced at the rate of per person per day now than we did 50 years ago and yet, in spite of all this food being produced, the number of hungry people all around the world comes to around 870 million while 2.5 Million children die every year of malnutrition.
In Europe and America alone, people waste almost 210 pounds to 250 pounds of food per year. half of the food that is being produced in the US goes to waste even before it reaches our plates, wasted because of the mismanagement of people who handle them.
