Ojos Des Salado which is a lake located at the Argentina-Chile border is the highest elevation lake in the world as it is located at an elevation of 20965 feet. Located at 20892 feet above the ground level is Lhagba Lake in Tibet. This is another highest elevation lake in the world followed by Changtse pool which too is located in Tibet.
East Rongbuk Pool Lake in Tibet is located at a height of 20013 feet and is counted among the highest lakes in the world. Some other lakes in this category are Acamarachi Pool, Lake Licancabur, Aguas Calientes Pool in Chile, Riding Labo Lake in Tibet, Poquentica Lake and Damavand Lake in Iran.
