Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that is caused due to excessive exposure to asbestos. It mainly effects the lungs part and there are three types of mesothelioma diseases that include pleural mesothelioma, peritoneal mesothelioma and pericardial mesothelioma.
The symptoms related to disease are not shown immediately, it takes around 20 – 40 years for the disease to get manifested. People working in construction company or asbestos manufacturing company are mostly prone to mesothelioma disease.
In the year 2003, the air samples collected in a construction industry of which 20% of samples depicted that the asbestos OSPHA PEL( 5) limit has been exceeded. In 1999, more than 15% of deaths were accounted by the construction industry that uses large amount of asbestos.
