Cyber bullying is defined as the “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices.” With 80% of teens on cell phones and the same on social media sites, it’s time to understand that technology is connecting teens in ways they can’t escape.
One in 6 teenagers are cyber bullied. 16.2% of high school students reported being cyber bullied within the last year. Whites are cyber bullied 2X times more than the blacks.
Cyber bulling occurs in lower rate than the traditional offline bullying. Victims are more likely to commit to suicide.
