Women in the workforce are no longer a rarity as females have been joining the workforce in droves for over half a century. Before that many women across the globe chose to stay at home and take care of the home and family. In some countries, this statistic hasn’t changed much as very low percentages of the labor force are female. One company, Qualtrics, created a list of 180 countries ranked by percentage of the workforce who are women. This ranked list puts a spotlight on the countries with extremely low numbers of female workers. Only one country on the list fell below the 10% threshold while another nine countries all fell below 20%. Which country had the worst ranking on the list? Yemen fell to dead last as just 8.07% of its workforce is female. Check out the full list to see what other countries ranked near the bottom for their low percentages of women in the workforce.
