Cosmetic Surgery in US continues to increase as more Americans want a perfect body. In the year 2010, 13.1 million cosmetic procedures were done which was an increase of 5% from the year 2009. More than $10 billion is being spent on surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
The top most surgical procedures done in 2010 were breast augmentation, liposuction, eyelid surgery, abdominoplasty and breast reduction. The money spent by American's in 2010 was $10.7 billion. 44% of the total people who did cosmetic surgery were aged between 35 and 50.
1.3% of the people were either 18 or younger. The cost of these procedures differs from region to region in America with some being comparatively higher like New York, New Jersey, Washington DC etc.
