The face of health care is changing in Canada.Because 25.5% of Canada's population is aging and there will be increase in chronic illnesses. The drug therapies will be more expensive and the government funded health care will be less sustainable.

Canadians believe that illness will take its toll on both financial and physical health. 90% expect there will be an impact on their finance if they were to experience any chronic illness. 53% believe the impact will be permanent.

Even after knowing this only 58% are planning for the cost of serious illness and only 8% have written financial plans including insurance. It is better to get ready financially and you can do this by making long-term financial plan.
