There is a belief that people at work misuse the privileges given to them and spend time on social media when left with their devices. 12% working people got into trouble in the work place and 25% got into trouble at school. Also 22% teens got into a fight somehow because of social media.
The reason for this much population to be on social media is because they think the online friends are more kind. 69%teens told the people are mostly kind and 85% adults told the same thing. Both Adults and teens credit social networking for the boost in their self-esteem.
It has also been noted that teenagers are most likely to face unkind and mean behavior on social media. 47% teens and also adults told that they experience this behavior once in a while. 73% Adults also said either they never or once in a while encountered offensive material.
