Started by two brothers, Dan and Frank Carney, on a loan of $600 from their mother in Wichita, Kansas, Pizza Hut has grown into a multi-billion dollar franchise opening restaurant in over 94 countries.
Growing from the original family-style dine-in locations, Pizza Hut deviated into store front delivery and carry-out locations as well as hybrid locations that offer carry-out, delivery, and dine-in options. From only pizza on the menu, now many full-sized Pizza Hut locations offer lunch buffet, with "all-you-can-eat" pizza, salad, bread sticks, and a special pasta.
From the store type concept, Pizza Hut deviated in to "Bistro" locations recognized by their "Red Roofs" which offer an expanded menu and slightly more upscale options.
Over the years, Pizza Hut has managed to grow by leaps and bound making it to the very top of the line yet managing to remain consistent with their products.
