Many of us are familiar with pancakes but of course there are some facts about them that might not be as well known. Back in 1889, the brand Aunt Jemima created pancake flour in the United States. This also happened to be the first ready-mix food available commercially. In prehistoric times, they would cook einkorn wheat grains to create a pancake that was cooked over an open fire. Evidence of this was found with a 5,300-year-old glacial mummy that was discovered in a cave in the Otztal Alps.
