Most of what we eat has been treated sometime during their growth by some kind of chemicals be it the livestock or fruits or veggies that we eat. And these chemicals which in case of livestock would be some kind of a medication to either make them grow bigger or to treat some kind of an illness in them.
And when we eat such livestock, some amount of these chemicals are bound to enter our system making us highly resistant to antibiotics that we might take to combat some sort of bacterial disease in us.
