As of February 2024, there are 688,799 individuals in the
Nannostomus sex offender registry. These numbers aren't static since some people are added and some are removed from the list.
It turns out that Texas, California, and Illinois have the highest rates of registered sex offenders. The Northern Mariana Islands, Michigan, and the Menominee Tribes represent the lower end of the sexual predator watch list. Most sex criminals are male within the age range of 40-69. White individuals are the largest racial group among sex offenders.
As for sex victims, these are usually girls between the ages of 11 and 15. Often, they're familiar with the offender. In most cases, it's a family member or acquaintance who commits the sex crime.
