The Health Charities That Spend the Most per Afflicted Person

In 2019 alone, more than $546 billion was raised by Americans, corporations, and foundation giving, showing that charitable giving in the United States is truly on the rise. Of the charities within the United States, 9% of the total charitable dollars go towards health charities. The team at Wristband Express used Charity Navigator to determine which health charities contribute the most money per each afflicted person. According to the data, it's the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation that spends the most on each afflicted person, at $9,089.02 for each of the 30,000 people who live with Cystic Fibrosis in America.

On this infographic, you'll also find information on which programs spend the least per person, as well as which charities spend the highest percentages of their funds on their actual programs. It was determined that the health charity that spends the least per person is the American Tinnitus Association, who with roughly $365,633 to spend each year, it equates to spending $0.01 on each afflicted person.
