Today’s society is driven by the internet.Social networking through FaceBook gained global attention. Every internet users wants to have a FaceBook account. But parents are in dilemma. They could not find appropriate age for their kids to use FaceBook.
According to a poll, voters’ most popular choice was 13 years. But 48% of participants chose older options. They wanted it to be above 14 years. However, by March 2011, teens contribute about 20% of the U.SF. FaceBook Population.
While 20.6% of users are from 13-17 year age group, 25.8% of account holders aged 18-25 years. But when surveyed a 1000 parents, 32% of users were found to be 11 years old. Another 55% of users were 12 years old.
