
Mostly Americans have at least one kind of pets at their houses and the country’s first persons and leaders are no exception. It’s widely known that dogs are human’s best friend and nearly 68% of all the United States have owned a dog. And next popular kind of pets that were kept by presidents at their home was horses and birds.
Of the all presidents, few were ardent pet lovers. Calvin Collidge during his term from 1923 – 1929 has domesticated 12 dogs and Rutherford B. Hayes was the biggest cat lover and owned nearly 5 cats.
