Castles refer to those fortified structures which are most famous to be built in Europe and the Middle East region. They were majorly built in the middle Ages either by lords or scholars for residential purposes. They may be confused with palaces but they are different as the palaces are not fortified.
There are many similar structures as castles but they differ in some way or the other. The castles in different parts may differ on the basis of the designs, the location, the architecture and other aspects of the castle.
But one may say there is one common feature to all castles, which is the fact that they all are enchanting in the sense of beauty and romance.
There are plenty castles which are in fact listed as being most enchanting castles of the world.
On top of the list of most enchanting castles of the world, is the Neuschwanstein Castle which is located in Schwangau, Germany. The castle was built in 1869- 1892 and is currently owned by the Bavarian Palace Department.
The Dunrobin Castle located in Scotland- UK is the second most enchanting castle in the world. The architectural styles of these castles differ and may add to the enchanting feature of them.
For example the former is built in Romanesque Revival architectural style while the later is built in the French Renaissance style.
