Which states in the U.S. are the most lenient when it comes to marijuana laws, and which are the strictest? This infographic by oberk.com explores what marijuana legality will look like across the country in 2020, and the regulations that have been put in place by each state.
Since marijuana is not legal at a federal level it is left up to the states to decide if they want to legalize it, to what degree they want it legalized, and the regulations that will accompany these laws. Even if states have legalized medical marijuana, the regulations for how it can be sold and to who it can be prescribed can vary widely from state to state.
For example, Alabama’s medical marijuana laws are very strict and only permit CBD oil to be prescribed for children with seizures. On the other hang, Connecticut has a large and robust medical marijuana program that includes a long list of qualifying medical conditions. Are you surprised at any of the regulations your state has in place regarding marijuana?
