Dressing for an interview is often not as easy as we think.
There are some dos and don'ts to it that most of us are not aware. The universally accepted dress code for an interview for men is a 2 piece suit and a pair of shoes to match.Navy blue and dark gray are the conventional ones.
Long sleeved skirts in in white or light-blue will do the job. A good silk tie that matches the suit color is safe. Dark color shoes and socks with a belt to match it are ideal. A classic wrist watch will complement the outfit. Party, semi-formal and casual wear are a big no-no.
The same goes for women too. A 2-piece suit made of a skirt or trousers and a blazer with light colored long sleeved shirts or blouses are ideal. Avoid jewelery and tote bags and wear good quality dark colored formal shoes to go with the outfit.
Lastly go well groomed with as minimal makeup and accessories as possible.
