With winter upon us, there is no doubt some people out there who might be dying because of this very cold. The homeless, the poor who could not afford to stay warm are bound to try hard at staying alive.
There was one incident where in 1999, a lady radiologist named Anna Bagenholm accidentally slipped into a frozen lake in Norway and got trapped under ice for more than one and a half hours. When hypothermia set in her heart stopped but it also helped preserve her brain and after 10 days of her rescue and hours under medical procedures and observation Anna finally woke up. She has been known to be fit and healthy since then.
But not everyone might be that lucky which is why, once winter arrives, people should wrap up tight and keep themselves hydrated. Also they should keep eating since eating increases our metabolism which in turn produces heat in the body.
