The increased usage of FaceBook offers plenty of revenues for the site.On an average, a person visits 798 pages a month. One in every five minutes is spent towards FaceBook. Thus, it became a good revenue source for its owners.

In 2011, FaceBook generated $3.7 billion in revenues, which is about $4.34 per users. The cost of advertisement on FaceBook is ski-rocketed. For instance, a full lay out ad on FaceBook log out page costs around $700,000 per day.

FaceBook has become a reliable vehicle for online marketing. 55% of all virtual good sold online are on FacBook. The leading social networking site develops its own apps for advertising. Zynga gives around 12% of revenue for FaceBook.

However, market analysts are worried at its whopping growth. They compared with Googl’se penetration and expansion, which currently makes 10 times more income than FaceBook.
