Facebook Developer Platform History

Facebook is adding several new apps to its platform every day and it is even integrated with apps that are developed on different platforms such as iOS, Android and Blackberry etc. On May 24 2007, at the Facebook’s first ever f8 conference, a platform was launched by integrating the apps developed by the 65 app developers.

By November, 2007 Facebook has hosted nearly 7000 apps and by the year 2008, there were more than 33,000 apps. In 2011, Facebook has introduced the popular Timeline and Open Graph features on its platform and the music that users find on the Facebook platform comes from popular music apps such as Spotify, Deezer and iHeartRadio.
