Sea is a body of water which covers a very large portion of the earth and is very important as far as the moderating the climate of the planet is concerned. Sea provides us with food and oxygen and supports millions of living forms.
There are many seas in the world, each with its own distinctive qualities and features. Not all seas are as deep as the other and not all of them cover a large length or width. These distinctive features separate seas and on the basis of the depths of different seas, the list of the deepest seas in the world has been estimated.
The Caribbean Sea has a maximum depth of 7686 meters and is hence the deepest sea in the world. In terms of depth, Mediterranean Sea comes next as it is about 5267 meters deep. The Philippine Sea, which has it boundaries to Philippines,
Taiwan and Japan, is also among the deepest seas in the world because it extends to a depth of 10911 meters. The Arabian Sea is about 4652 meters deep, which makes it too one of the deepest seas in the entire world. Some other deep seas are Bay of Bengal, Savu Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Black sea.
