In 2021, the United States saw a record high $177 billion in sales from its agricultural exports across the country. The team at How To Cook Recipes put together this fascinating infographic that analyzes the biggest agricultural export in each U.S. state, and also includes information on the export values of each. The data that's used as part of this infographic comes from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), with 11 different types of exports used to label each state's largest export. Among these include tree nuts, pork, fresh fruits, soybeans, cotton, and dairy products, among many others. Across all 50 states, it was found that the highest export value in any single state came out of California, where tree nuts are the top export. In California, the estimated export value of tree nuts in 2021 was $7,757.9 million. In fact, California is the only U.S. state where tree nuts is the top export.
