Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis, more known as One Direction, might have finished third in the television contest X Factor, in 2010, but they are today number one in a lot of fans’ hearts. The five boys signed with Simon Cowell three years ago and the professional turned them into worldwide stars almost immediately. So, it’s no wonder that they can reach fans on the entire planet.
Their debut single got into the main global music tops: it reached number one in the United Kingdom and number four in the United States of America. And their success didn’t stop there, it continued to escalate until the point where they turned into the faces of a millionaire business and brand.
However, unlike One Direction, their fans (and especially their parents) don’t have great rewards, besides getting to see them sing once in a while. The band’s followers have to settle with merchandising and CDs most of the time, but that’s not a cheap addiction, on the contrary.
The biggest One Direction fans can spend more than £11,000 “investing” in all the products out there connected to the band. Even £10,000 tickets to a special show and the right to sit in the front-row…
The kind of girl or boy that can do this is what we like to call an ultimate follower, someone that must have it all, even the special One Direction duvet for the bed. Do you want to know what kind of fan are you? Check our infographic and answer our questions to find out.
