The Golden Boot Awards have been one of the most prestigious awards in the field of football for quite a few decades now.
Three of the top players in the history of football who had received this award have been Sweden’s Just Fontaine for 13 Goals in the year 1958, Sandor Kocsis of Switzerland for 11 Goals in the year 1954 and Mexico’s Gerd Muller who was awarded this in 1970 for scoring 10 goals.
Over the years many other player representing Germany, Uruguay, Italy, France, Brazil, Sweden, Chile, England, West Germany, Argentina, Spain, USA, Korea, Japan and South Africa have been awarded this award to commemorate their amazing goaling performance on the field during the tournament.
