Which U.S. Counties Have the Most Natural Disasters?

Will you be close to disaster when it strikes? With this infographic, Roof Claim takes a look at the counties across America that are most at risk in terms of natural disasters happening. This guide considers many different types of disasters, including but not limited to fires, floods, severe storms, hurricanes, earthquakes, droughts, tornadoes, and severe ice and snowstorms. More specifically, this guide analyzes the U.S. counties that have seen the most FEMA disaster declarations since 1953.

California dominates the top of the list, with the top five counties on the list being there: Los Angeles County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, and Ventura county. Kentucky and Oklahoma also appear on the list several times throughout. The guide also includes the top 5 counties for each type of disaster. For example, droughts have been known to hit New Jersey hard, as the top 5 are all located there.
