What Happens After You Stop Smoking

Smoking kills. So what happens when a smoker stops smoking?

The moment is decides to quit and actually quits his blood pressure level, his pulse rate and his body temperature falls to normal within the next 2020 minutes. In a matter of hours, the carbon monoxide level in his blood starts falling and in about 24 hours, his risks for having a heart attack decreases.

His sense of smell and tastes start getting enhanced within the next 48 hours and within 3 days time, he finds it easier to breathe without wheezing. Within the next three months his lung capacity increases to 30% and by the end of one year, his chances of having a coronary disease reduces to half.
