USA is home to several big and popular car insurance companies.  Some of these companies have been around for years while some are relatively new on the block. Often, car insurance companies are judged, ranked or tested on the basis of the revenue they are able to generate on a yearly basis.

Even the biggest car insurance companies in the US have been analyzed on this basis and the list of the top companies has been taken out. The following are the biggest car insurance companies in USA, as far as their revenue is concerned.

State Farm Insurance is the biggest car insurance company in the world as it has revenue of $64.3 billion. MetLife Insurance is another big name in the car insurance world in USA and this is due to the fact that this company has generated revenue of $52.717 billion.

With revenue of $36.9, Liberty Manual group is also among the top car insurance companies in USA. Allstate Corporation has revenue of $32.654 billion whereas nationwide insurance comes next with revenue of $30.6978 billion and both of these companies are also on this list.

Some other biggest car insurance companies in US are The Hartford, Travelers, Progressive, Ameriprise financial, Geico federal program and Safeco insurance.
