When you are chatting online with webcam make sure that you are doing all this to avoid looking bad on web cam.
Firstly never place your cam opposite to light. That is light should be falling on your face not from back of your face. Have a light facing you.
Check your background what people can see what’s happening behind you. It’s good to use Ethernet cable than the wifi as wifi has disturbances. If you are planning to record then it’s good to prefer a silent place.
