There are some gadgets developed in present times, that are designed to sustain the harshest of environment and conditions and yet be operable. These kind of devices are known as rugged IT and they come in three types.
Semi-Rugged devices are usually enhanced versions of the commercial off-the-self hardware while Fully-rugged devices are those that that are made to work in extreme temperature and are impetuous to shocks, vibrations, dust and water. Then there are the Ultra-Rugged devices that are specifically made as per military specifications to sustain the harshest of the harsh environmental conditions and yet be perfectly operable without any problems.
