The Most Dangerous Places to Drive During the Fall

In America, over 8,200 fatal accidents were recorded during the fall months of 2019. Using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA), this infographic uses data to determine which cities and states across the country have the highest rates of fatal car collisions on the road. According to the research, it was determined that it was Jackson, Mississippi that had the highest rate of fatal car collisions in the fall months, coming in at 9.62 fatal crashes per every 100,000 residents.

In general, Mississippi itself was also the state with the highest overall rate (4.52 fatal car crashes for every 100,000 residents during the fall months). The state with the least overall was found to be Massachusetts with just 1.06 fatal collisions for every 100,000 people. Of the cities with the highest fatal rates, the only two states  that had two cities in the top ten were Arizona (Glendale and Tucson) and Tennessee (Memphis and Nashville). Did your home state or city make any of the lists featured on this infographic, for better or worse?
