One of the foremost reasons for the growing rate of obesity is the large consumption of sodas and other sugary drinks. These drinks have been found to contain huge quantities of fructose in them that is known to be the root of Type 2 Diabetes as well as Obesity. Normally the FDI approved fructose content has been set at 55% but most drinks that were tested were found to contain a higher quantity.

For instance, a 20 fl. oz of Pepsi has been found to contain 64% fructose while a bottle of Vitamin Water Power C of the same quantity has been found to contain almost 72% fructose. Among all the drinks selling in the market today, the lowest fructose percentage was found in a 8.4 fl.oz of Red Bull at 17% only.
