
Democracy is a kind of a governmental system in which all the citizens of a country are considered equal and have a right to vote for the government which they think will rule them in a just way. Not all countries in the world follow the system of democracy but this system is definitely the most popular and the most preferred governmental rule.
Each country follows a different version of a democratic system and based on these variations, democracies are either strong or weak. Norway is considered the strongest democracy in the world because it has a democracy score of 9.93 as of the year 2012.
Sweden is another country which is considered a really strong democracy because it has been given a democracy score of 9.73. With a Parliamentary republic and constitutional republic governmental system, Iceland is also a very strong democratic country followed by Denmark with a democracy score of 9.52, and New Zealand with a democracy score of 9.26.
Australia is a country which has got a federal monarchy and constitutional monarchy governmental system and has a 9.22 democracy score which is among the highest in the world. Some other strong democratic countries are Switzerland, Canada, Finland and Netherlands.
