Social Media Bring Social Change

Social media has started playing vital role in social change.  73% of the US adults wanted to involve in social change. 60% of women and 53% of men donated money, goods and offered services via social media platforms.

Kickstarter.com shows that 318,693 FaceBook users and 552,076 Twitter users engage in social changing activities. While 65, 760 new projects were launched, 27,240 projects were successfully funded.

Donors Choose.org, a non-profit organization used social media for building schools and educating children. The organization says with the help of donations from 161, 821 face book and 144, 718 Twitter users, around 4,500 students are getting educated and 58 schools were constructed.
