At present, plagiarism of content is the major issue over internet and most of the experts estimate that by 2014, the plagiarism level on internet exceeds by 63%. In the year 2005, the plagiarized content on internet was only 25%, in 2010 it has reached 39% and in the year 2011 more than 44% of content present in the websites was plagiarized from other sources.
Every day on web world, more than 2 million blog posts are updated, 4.7 million minutes is spent by Facebook users, 532 million statuses are updated and 864,000 hours of videos are streamed and uploaded in the YouTube.
It is expected that there will be a growth of 1250% in internet traffic by 2016. Of total plagiarized content over the internet, major portion is provided by the users of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.
