A national park is a kind of a park which is used by the government or a state for the purpose of conservation. This kind of a park is often used for the reserve of natural, semi-natural or a piece of developed land.
There are many national parks all across the world and one example of a well known largest national park is Yellowstone National Park which is located in USA. Infact this national park is one of the oldest ones in the world as it was established in the year 1872.
Banff National park was established in the year 1885 and is located in Canada. This is also among the oldest national parks in the world. Located in Namibia, Etosha national park is also one of the oldest national parks in the world and was established in 1907 followed by Jasper national park which was established in the same year.
Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers national park is a park which is located in Australia and was made as a national park in the year 1908, thus making it one of the oldest national parks on the planet.
Some other examples of oldest national parks are Denali national park and Preserve, Wood Buffalo national park, Kafue national park, Virunga national park and Hwange national park.
