There are many public and national holidays in New Zealand in 2013. Here they are for all those interested to know about them.
The New Year’s Day is the first national holiday of the New Zealand and is cerebrated on 1 January. This time round The New Year’s Day fall on a Saturday and 3 January, Monday, has been declared as the New Year Celebration day. Besides, 4 January is observed as the day after New Year’s Day.
Waitangi Day is celebrated on 6 February. There are no holidays in March. This is followed by the Good Friday on 22 April and Easter Sunday on 24 April. Easter Monday is celebrated on 25 April along with the Anzac Day. Queen’s Birthday is observed on 6 June.
There are no national holidays in the country in July, August and September. Labor Day is observed on 24 October and this is the only holiday of the month.
Christmas is celebrated all over Netherlands on 25 December as elsewhere in the world. This is followed by the Boxing Day which is observed on 26 December. This year, 27 December would be observed as the holiday for the Christmas Day as 25 December is a Sunday.
