Earlier this year, US have sent out an acknowledgement regarding the crediting system of the Colleges with Traditional Credits and Non Traditional credits.
With the introduction of Non Traditional credit system, students get to earn these credits from Training programs, by taking exams and having your prior learning accessed. Cost per the credit hour is zero to under $120.
Students who are applying for the NTE credits to lower their cost of the degree, they can research themselves by contacting the institutions they are applying to and request information on the schools policy and review the NTE credits they wish to have applied.
The downside to this process is that many colleges are not inclined to openly accept these credits as they cut down their profits.
Students should seek help from programs like College credit programs which help them in choosing the college they intend to join.
There are various training Programs for credits which are included under NTE credits.
Professional Accreditation like FAA may earn you up to 67 credits and Automotive service excellence services have been evaluated up to 65 hours of credit. along with Microsoft and computer certification.
There are other organizations that are approved to provide credits.
